Regions are groups of zones with a similar theme. Regions are designed to allow the world generator to create more realistic and interesting looking maps. Currently six different region types have been announced. Regions are planned to be introduced in Build 16.
Planned regions[edit | edit source]
Metropolis[edit | edit source]
High-density city zones will make up the Metropolis region.
Wilderness[edit | edit source]
Wilderness region will include forests, grassland and farmland.
Residential[edit | edit source]
Suburbs and towns comprise the residential region.
Desert[edit | edit source]
Sand and small towns are planned for the desert region.
Lake[edit | edit source]
Water themed zones will be part of the lake region.
Mountainous[edit | edit source]
Mountain themed zones and snowy peaks are planned for the mountainous region.
